Suwannee River Log Homes Inc. offers 17 different log styles and profiles using center cut cypress. Cypress has a natural oil preservative called cypresseine, which helps protect itself from insects and decay. Cypress tends to have tighter growth rings, which means less shrinkage. Cypress will shrink less than any other wood species and has 70% less knots. Cypress also does not need any chemicals to protect it, which makes the wood environmentally safe to build with. This is why home owners and builders prefer to use cypress to build log or timber frame homes.

Craftsman Style Timber Frames:
Suwannee River ’s Craftsman Style Timber Frame homes are known as the prestige Craftsman package. The Craftsman package offers post and beam construction using heavy timbers in your roof to allow for a towering cathedral ceiling. On the exterior we use a mixture of Western Red Cedar or Cypress and stone to give your new home a unique look. The walls are a standard 10’ clearance, which will allow more room for antique furniture, ceiling fans, and other unique furnishings. The Craftsman Style Timber Frame will let you have a timber frame home for less the price. The walls will also have 8 x 8 vertical post and headers every 8 to 12 feet.

Construction of Log Homes:
Suwannee River Log Homes works hand in hand with its’ own construction company (Suwannee River Construction Company, Inc.). SRCC are custom log home builders that can build your new log home that will last a lifetime. Suwannee River Construction carries liability insurance and guarantees you a qualified crew. This very item will make your life easier when it comes time to build your new log home. You will be able to get the materials and labor from the same company. This will also ensure you protection and offer you hassle free construction. We will also provide the forklift to offload your materials and the crane to do your heavy lifting. Our goal is to take as much of the work off your hands as possible. By working with Suwannee River Log Homes and SRCC, the process would leave you with one company to deal with. We are one of few and if not the only company in the South East region of the United States to offer this type of service. You will have the protection and guarantee of the materials and building crew. Not only will we provide the materials for your log home, but we will build it as well.
